Schools to Benefit from Funds for K-3 Teachers
At State Superintendent Mark Johnson direction, the Department of Public Instruction is providing nearly $5 million to the state’s school districts and charter schools for additional K-3 literacy support. Every district and charter school with early elementary grades will receive $200 for each K-3 reading teacher to purchase literacy materials.

This report provides growth and performance data for the 2016–17 school year based on analysis of all End-of-Grade and End-of-Course tests in English Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics and the Essential Standards in Science for all district schools and charter schools.
