Schools to Benefit from Funds for K-3 Teachers
At State Superintendent Mark Johnson's direction, the Department of Public Instruction is providing nearly $5 million to the state’s school districts and charter schools for additional K-3 literacy support. Every district and charter school with early elementary grades will receive $200 for each K-3 reading teacher to purchase literacy materials.

School report cards for all public schools in the state are now available with 2016-17 data at NC School Report Cards, a completely redesigned, user-friendly website.

Performance and Academic Growth Data
Information on the performance and academic growth of North Carolina's public schools for the 2017-18 school year will be released in early September. The report from the previous year, linked here, reflects data from End-of-Grade and End-of-Course tests from the 2016-17 school year.
