Technical Notes for ABCs Reports

 

 

 

Schools meeting expected growth must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Growth composite score (for expected growth) is equal to or greater than 0.
  • A school meeting both expected and exemplary will be listed in exemplary list only.
  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

 

Exemplary schools must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Growth composite score (for exemplary growth) is equal to or greater than 0.
  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

 

Schools in the no recognition category must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Growth composite score (for expected growth) is less than 0.
  • Performance composite (percentage of students at or above achievement Level III) must be greater than or equal to 50 percent.
  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

 

Schools of Excellence must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Growth composite score (for expected growth) is equal to or greater than 0.
  • Performance composite (percentage of students at or above achievement Level III) must be greater than or equal to 90 percent.
  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Schools of Distinction must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Performance composite (percentage of students at or above achievement Level III) must be greater than or equal to 80 percent.
  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

Low-Performing schools must meet the following conditions:

  • Total number of students in school growth model is greater than or equal to 15.
  • Growth composite score (for expected growth) is less than 0.
  • Performance composite (percentage of students at or above achievement Level III) must be less than 50 percent.

 

Top 25 Schools in Academic Growth:

Top 25 schools when ranking exemplary growth composite for the state.

  • Must test 98% of eligible students.
  • Must not have excessive exemptions.

 

Statistics: Total records = 1631
