You can examine the data further by downloading the data analysis
software that produced this report and the base data it worked on. The
application and necessary data files are zipped into a single file for
faster and more convenient download. The application runs under Windows 95
(on Intel and Macintosh PowerPC Computers (with emulation software)). The
data files are space- or tab-delimited text files and are viewable on any
platform.

Instructions:
Using the data analysis application is straightforward. After unzipping
the application and data, double click on the application to launch it.
Then:
- To View the K-8 data, select File|Open EOG File. When the
dialog box comes up, double-click on the Growdata file.
- To View the High Schools Data, select File|Open EOC File.
When the dialogue box appears, double-click on the hs.data
file.
- Once you are working with a data file, you can have the application
resort the data in a variety of ways, all of which are available
through the application menus and require no explanation. Note that
you can only have one data file open at a time.
- To save a view from the program as tab-delimited text file (without
column headings), select File|Save As. When the dialogue box
comes up it will say Open and ask you which file you want to open. Go
ahead specify the folder where you want the file saved, and type in
the name you want the file to have (make sure it ends in .txt),
and click on Open. If you haven't saved a file with this name
before, the computer will put up a dialogue box asking if you wish to
create the file. Click on Yes, and the view will be saved.
