1997-98 ABCs Report Card, Volume I - Assignment
of Assistance Teams--1998-99
There are 12 K-8 assistance teams and 3 high school assistance teams
trained and ready to begin work for the 1998-99 school year. The proposal
is to assign the teams as follows:
Eight assistance teams will be assigned to the lowest-performing
regular K-8 public schools:

- 15 low-performing schools with assistance teams from 1997-98 (as

- K-8 schools with less than 50 percent of students at or above grade
level
Division of School Improvement will work with:
- high schools with less than 50 percent of students at or above
Achievement Level III
- 2 low-performing high schools
- 7 low-performing charter public schools (as requested)
