Testing for High School Students in North Carolina

In North Carolina, high school students are required to take the following assessments:

• State Board Policy GCS-C-010
  Policy setting the achievement levels for the End-of-Course tests, including English II under the ABCs Model.



• No Child Left Behind requires annual assessment of student achievement in science at least once in grades 3-5, 6-9, and 10-12, beginning in 2007. North Carolina will be meeting this federal requirement with the Biology EOC.

North Carolina High School Comprehensive Test – Mathematics Applications Grade 10
Currently, the High School Comprehensive Test – Mathematics Applications will only be offered to a limited number of students. For additional information regarding this test, please contact your local school district test coordinator or your high school principal.
