The North Carolina End-of-Course Test for Algebra I is used to sample a student’s knowledge of concepts as specified in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Algebra I (Content Standards) and to provide a global estimate of the student’s mastery of the course material in Algebra I. The end-of-course test must be administered during the last week (block schedule or summer school) or the last two weeks (traditional schedule) of the instructional period.
Note:: Beginning with the 2006-2007 school year, math EOC tests will be based on the 2003 Standard Course of Study (SCS)
