Downloading an Adobe File to View or Print

Some documents on our site are in Portable Document Format. A PDF is a platform-independent file format created by Adobe and requires Acrobat Reader (available for free) to view. Created for reading and printing documents, the format of the original electronic document is retained. This format is also the largest and slowest to download, especially if you are accessing the Internet through your home phone line.

Please Note: We have been made aware of some issues when trying to view pdf documents. Please see the explanation below for more information.

Some of the problems users have experienced when trying to view a file are:

  • C map error or incorrect font error message when opening a pdf file
  • One or more pages have distorted images or produce black or blank pages
