AP/IB/HONORS INITIATIVES

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is committed to providing equity and access to advanced curriculum coursework for all students throughout the state. This commitment has allowed the Middle and Secondary division within DPI to establish a variety of initiatives to promote advance curriculum. The AP Incentive Grant and AP Fee Reduction Grant programs have been established to provide professional development for teachers, enhance education of underrepresented students, and educate parents and community officials on the importance of advance curriculum in K-12 classes for college readiness preparation. To support our endeavors, we have consulted and collaborated with College Board, International Baccalaureate, and Learn NC. We look forward to continuous program development and success.
