Brief Description: Bullying is more than physical intimidation by isolated individuals. Instead, it can be understood as a power dynamic that results in fear, shame, and embarrassment. Bullying is pervasive--it not only emerges on the playground, but in families, the workplace, the classroom, church, or any setting in which people interact. This program explains the roots of bullying behavior in its many manifestations--verbal, emotional and physical harassment, teasing, nit-picking, exclusion, humiliation, intimidation, and invalid criticism--and how to transform the bully-victim relationship through measures to develop awareness of ourselves and the impact of our actions on others.
