Event Dates: 1/10/2010 through 1/14/2010

Brief Description: Since the dawn of humankind, the arts, in all their modalities, have served society by promoting courage, enriching our celebrations, and making our tragedies bearable. Arts education helps build bridges between diverse groups and helps them connect more authentically. Music, art, movement, and poetry promote understanding, and provide opportunities for us to explore new ways of thinking. Through the creative process, we will reconnect to our identities as individuals, communities, and cultures. The arts have been an inseparable part of the human journey providing continuity with the past and opening possibilities for the future. Discover effective ways to integrate art across the curriculum. Gain a better understanding of the rich cultural heritages around the world as we discover how art is inseparable from life. Leverage the transformative power of art to help your students become more focused, intentional, and responsible citizens of the global community. “Registration begins September 29, 2009.”
