Brief Description: This is an annual event developed to highlight the African-American culture through the arts, fashion, traditional southern foods, black history exihibits, military exhibit, a collection of handmade artifacts possibly made by the ancestors of former slaves, antique kitchen items give a view of what was used in the kitchen by so many great southern cooks, books for the children, posters of heroes past and present, merchandise from the vendors will include a variety of fashions, jewlery, body oils, hats, hand bags and much more
Local colleges will be on hand to recruit along with the National Guard
Local county agencies will share displays with information on the services they have available for families in the area. You can get a free health screening on site.
Our vendors are a special role model for the youth since they are operating their small business and meeting a demand. This is an educational event presented in a fun way to get the youth interested in books, history and business, by showing them positive role models of the present and the past.
