Brief Description: These one-day, multi-county workshops are offered at no charge for middle or high school teachers. Substitute pay will be provided. These sessions will feature:
-Dr. Karl Schleunes, UNC-G historian and Holocaust scholar, and
a Holocaust survivor. Possible speakers include:
-Hank Brodt, a survivor of six concentration camps
-Morris Glass, a survivor of the Auschwitz death camp
-Manfred Katz, a slave laborer in two concentration camps
-Zohara Boyd, a survivor who hid in "plain sight" during the Holocaust.

Participants will receive a copy of The Holocaust: A North Carolina's Teacher's Resource, a guide for teaching about the Holocaust at the middle and high school levels. Space is limited.
