Brief Description: Co-sponsored by the Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies (UNC & Duke) the 2013 Latin America and North Carolina Seminar offers insights into Latin America and support for K-12 and community college educators facing the challenges and opportunities of our growing immigrant student population. Help your Hispanic/Latino students succeed in school by learning more about the region, critical issues facing Latino students, and new teaching strategies to support students and their families. This seminar will also offer valuable breakout sessions to educators from all grade-levels and subject areas.

Registration for North Carolina educators is $175 for one seminar. Attend this seminar and 2013 Europe and the European Union and pay $325 for both. A team of 4 is $600 (save $100) per seminar. A team is comprised of 4 or more individuals from a school or district that attend the SAME seminar. Out of state educators pay $275 per seminar.
