Brief Description: United Arts invites four-person teams (ideally administrator; classroom teacher; music, dance, drama or visual art teacher; parent) from elementary schools to participate in one of two tracks, Immersion for new schools to the Institute and Advanced for returning schools. At the Institute we will educate and remind workshop participants that there are more effective ways to learn, think, and retain information than rote memorization and that teaching that involves all the senses, utilizes Multiple Intelligences approaches, and integrates the arts creates a rich educational environment for students. The institute is designed to give you a hands-on opportunity to work with some of the finest teaching artists in the country to learn techniques that will invigorate your classroom. Arts integration approaches to teaching address 21st Century Skills by encouraging students to learn to think and work creatively and collaboratively.

There is a $400 participation fee for each team; your school will receive an invoice after your team has been accepted. Each participant will receive a stipend of up to $100 and up to 3.0 Renewal Credits.

Application deadline is April 30.
