Resolutely Figurative: A Drawing Experience - A UNCG Educator Workshop

Brief Description: In conjunction with the exhibition Resolutely Matisse, educators are invited to spend two days with artist and visiting instructor Alix Hitchcock exploring the human figure. More than a typical life drawing class, participants will work from live models and explore a variety of techniques suitable for classroom settings. A tour of Resolutely Matisse is included.
The workshop takes place at the Weatherspoon Art Museum and in the drawing studio of the Gatewood Studio Arts Building at UNCG. Most materials provided. Bring a bag lunch or visit one of Tate Street's many restaurants during a mid-afternoon break. Registration is required. A certificate of participation is provided and can be used for CEU credit with prior approval of your school system.
Workshop runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. both days. Fee: $45 WAM Members; $60 Non-members
