Brief Description: This activity-based workshop with Dr. Carol Krueger focuses on the development of music literacy and musicianship in the K-12 music classroom. We will offer two sessions in this year's workshop:
-Level One (Monday - Wednesday) is for attendees who have little or no familiarity with the principles and concepts of the Progressive Sightsinging approach.
-Level Two (Wednesday-Thursday) is for those who have experience with this approach to teaching music literacy and musicianship skills.
Participants who have never attended a Progressive Sightsinging workshop or who have attended one summer workshop will benefit most from Level One (Monday through Wednesday) or Levels One and Two (Monday through Thursday). Participants who have attended one or more previous Progressive Sightsinging workshops will benefit most from attending Level Two (Wednesday and Thursday). Participants in both sections of the workshop are welcome to attend the optional evening sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
