Brief Description: This workshop is designed specifically for Principals, Supervisors and Lead Teachers. 12 contact hours, 1.2 CEUs available for this workshop.
If there is to be successful implementation of Common Core Standards, there must be informed leadership at every level. Discussions and resources in this professional development will focus on understanding the policies, processes, and practices required to facilitate and support change that moves the school environment from compliance to commitment. This session is designed for principals, central office staff, coaches, and lead teachers who serve as resources for colleagues. Carol Midgett is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, the nation's highest honor for teachers of mathematics and science. She is an experienced coach and facilitator for the Lenses on Learning programs, both elementary and secondary, and was Co-‐Director of TAP Math.
Registration is first come, first served. The registration fee includes all materials and lunch on workshop days; breakfast and dinner are included for those staying in a Meredith dormitory when requested with this registration.
