Fourth grade students are expected to have moved from learning to read to reading to learn, so this grade offers unique challenges for teachers. This professional development is designed to provide 4th grade teachers with opportunities to learn and share classroom strategies, activities, and resources that help strengthen students’ understanding of mathematics concepts. The session focuses on how to make mathematics come alive while dealing with new and difficult content.
Pam Zelando is a Professional Development Facilitator with a background in K-‐8 mathematics, math coaching, and mathematics curriculum.
Registration is first come first served. The registration fee includes all materials and lunch on workshop days; breakfast and dinner are included for those staying in a Meredith dormitory when requested with this registration.
