BEAUFORT COUNTY SCHOOLS LAUNCHING "IT'S OK TO SAY" TIP LINE

A mother called on us- she says her son and nephew have been bullied and even beaten up at school. But she says administrators aren't doing enough about it. This comes just as Beaufort County Schools launched it's new anonymous tip line for students and parents who want to report bullying.Monica Willis doesn't feel good about sending her kids to Chocowinity Middle School."My son was assaulted on the bus," she said.It happened last month. She says administrators suspended the bully and her son from the bus for three days. "I actually wanted to cry," she said. "I was really hurt by it. I couldn't understand why my son didn't defend his self or anything. But I was even more upset that the school didn't really do anything more about it."
