GOV. PERDUE HONORS AHS FOR DIGITAL LEARNING
Asheboro High School was recognized by Gov. Bev Perdue Monday as an innovator in digital learning. Perdue was on campus to present a banner that read, "2012 North Carolina Innovator in Digital Learning." AHS is the first of 10 public schools in the state to receive the award in its inaugural year. "It's my honor to present this banner," she told students, teachers and officials at the Professional Development Center on the AHS campus. "This is a big deal for your city and the school system."
