If a student becomes homeless while he or she is attending my school's my school required to provide transportation for him or her?Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act, any student who becomes homeless after the time of enrollment has the right to continue to attend their current school or, a new school of choice proximate to their temporary residence. If the child wishes to continue enrollment, the current school is responsible for securing the student's transportation to their school.Federal Program Monitoring and Support
