Haliwa-Saponi Tribal
The mission of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian Tribe is to protect the interests, identity and rights of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian people, promote the cultural and traditional heritage of the Haliwa-Saponi people of Halifax, Warren, and surrounding counties, to promote the advancement of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian people by securing educational, health, economic development, housing, cultural, and social programs, to promote, maintain, and foster good public relations with local, state, federal, and other Tribal governments and business, to promote good will, peace, and harmony within the Tribal community and other Indian Tribes, and to serve as a forum through which concerns and issues of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian people may be addressed.
