GOVERNANCE BOARD TRAINING
This series of training sessions and exercises will focus on a range of topics and take an in depth look at governance and public charter school oversight. When complete, the modules will address multiple topics, totaling over fifteen hours of professional development for charter school board members. These sessions will be hosted via webinar the first Tuesday of every month by the NC Office of Charter Schools. Board members will be provided pre-reading assignments no later than one week prior to the session. At the conclusion of the session, board members will be asked to complete follow-up assignments directly linked to the session topic with the goal of sharing this information back to the full board. These assignments will develop and ultimately strengthen the overall fundamentals and productivity of the public charter school board of which you are a member.
