MBA Research and Curriculum Center
(Formerly MarkED or the Marketing Education Resource Center)

The MBA Research and Curriculum Center is a non-profit (501(c)3) consortium of 40+ state education departments and other organizations. The Center assists in the development of programs, strategies, and curricula to prepare students for career-oriented, leadership positions in business and marketing. The MBA Research and Curriculum Center, in coordination with the Career Clusters initiative, developed the 2008 Marketing Standards.


Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education
The Consortium champions entrepreneurship education and provides advocacy, leadership, networking, technical assistance, and resources nationally across all levels and disciplines of education, promoting quality practices and programs. The consortium web page provides resources for teachers, instructors, program developers and others who help students of all ages find their own entrepreneurial opportunities. The Consortium, in coordination with the National Entrepreneurs Advisory Council, developed the National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education.


Hop on the BUS!
Hop on the BUS! is a statewide business plan competition for high school aged youth in North Carolina.

North Carolina Cooperative Education Policies and Procedures Manual
Cooperative Education has been a widely utilized work-based method of instruction in North Carolina for more than sixty years. This instructional strategy can be invaluable in allowing students to gain entry-level skills in the career area of their choice. Cooperative education students have the opportunity to apply the skills learned in academic and workforce development education courses when participating in this method of instruction. Additionally, cooperative education empowers students to be responsible, ethical, and productive employees, therefore teaching them to be good citizens in the society they will soon lead. Maintaining quality Career and Technical Education programs is imperative in preparing students to be the leaders of tomorrow.
