The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction gratefully acknowledges

The current revision process involved on some level the entire education community,
and its end product is a North Carolina curriculum of which the state can be
justifiably proud. We will continue to revise and improve the Standard Course
of Study to meet the needs of the children of North Carolina.
