2011 EXTENDED CONTENT STANDARDS
The State Board of Education approved new Social Studies K-8 Extended Content Standards based on the State Essential Standards in December of 2011. These will be operational for the 2012-13 school year. The new extended standards can be found on the following webpage: http://www.ncpublicschools.org/acre/standards/extended/
