USDLC: ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
NC DPI's Instructional Technology
Division has purchased a state license for the United Star
Distance Learning
Consortium (USDLC), formerly known as StarNet, that will enable
educators in all school systems to access many of USDLC's rich
resources for professional development free of charge. A wide
variety of online modules and video-on-demand programs are available.
Many
of the
videos were filmed in North
Carolina schools and feature the work of outstanding educators
and programs.

for K-5 and another for 6-12
Access is free!
To access these password-protected resources,
each school system's professional development coordinator should
complete the registration form provided and
return it to Linda Walters, USDLC Professional Development Coordinator.
Or, the Central Office PD coordinator, who will register for
his/her respective school system, may fill out a registration
form online.
After a registration form is processed, the LEA will
be assigned a unique ID and Password. The professional development
coordinator at the Central Office will share the assigned Site
Code and Password
with all of the educators in the system. Educators may use this
information to login at USDLC site
to view videos and/or online courses.
