USDLC: ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

NC DPI's Instructional Technology Division has purchased a state license for the United Star Distance Learning Consortium (USDLC), formerly known as StarNet, that will enable educators in all school systems to access many of USDLC's rich resources for professional development free of charge. A wide variety of online modules and video-on-demand programs are available. Many of the videos were filmed in North Carolina schools and feature the work of outstanding educators and programs.

Professional development resources include:

Access is free!

To access these password-protected resources, each school system's professional development coordinator should complete the registration form provided and return it to Linda Walters, USDLC Professional Development Coordinator. Or, the Central Office PD coordinator, who will register for his/her respective school system, may fill out a registration form online.

After a registration form is processed, the LEA will be assigned a unique ID and Password. The professional development coordinator at the Central Office will share the assigned Site Code and Password with all of the educators in the system. Educators may use this information to login at USDLC site to view videos and/or online courses.

For more information, contact Linda Walters at lwalters@dpi.state.nc.us or phone 919.807.3497.
