VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS

GOAL 3 :: PERSONNEL PREPARATION

Universities, with a minimum of one full-time faculty member in the area of visual impairment, prepare a sufficient number of educators of students with visual impairments to meet personnel needs throughout the state.

North Carolina Central University - Visual Impairment Training Program
This is the university program for North Carolina, training teachers of the visually impaired and orientation & mobility specialists. NCCU-VITP offers evening and weekend classes along with distance education opportunities for prospective students throughout the state. For more information, contact Julie Bardin at 919.530.5346.
