Members will receive notices of State Board of Education policy action, breaking news, special events, meetings and conferences. Additionally, members will also be directed to web-based editions of newsletters and other publications of interest to educational administrators.
NC News Media
This group is designed for news reporters from print, electronic and broadcast media to ensure that you receive the latest information about North Carolina public schools. Members of this list will receive notices of State Board of Education and Department of Public Instruction meetings, public hearings, breaking news, special events, and other activities. You will also be directed to web-based editions of news releases, newsletters and other publications of interest to the news media.
Race to the Top
This group is designed for any who has an interest in the progress of North Carolina's Race to the Top (RttT) initiative. North Carolina is one of only 12 recipients of the 2010 federal RttT grants, bringing nearly $400 million to the state's public school system for use over the next four years. It is designed to increase professional, technological and classroom support for teaching and learning so that more of our students will graduate and be prepared for college and the workplace.
