

DISCOUNT DATA
E-Rate Discounts depend on:
- the level of poverty and
- the urban/rural status of the population served
- and range from 20% to 90% of the costs of eligible services.
Eligible schools, school districts and libraries may apply individually or as part of a consortium:
- Schools and libraries competitively bid all eligible services on the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) Web site.
- After a minimum of 28 days, the most cost effective proposal is selected.
- Schools and libraries apply to SLD for discounts.
- If approved, discounts are provided through directly discounted invoices or reimbursement after services are provided.
Applicants must also provide additional resources:
- end-user equipment (e.g., computers, telephones, etc.),
- software, professional development, and
- other elements necessary to utilize funded connectivity
In general an approved Technology Plan and Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) compliance are also required.
