EDUCATION JOBS FUNDING EXPIRED 9/30/12; NO NEW APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE EDUCATION JOBS FUND.
North Carolina received $297 million, which will be used to save jobs in NC schools. At least 98% of a State’s allocation is only for awards to LEAs, and may be used only to retain existing employees, to recall or rehire former employees, and to hire new employees, in order to provide early childhood, elementary, or secondary educational and related services.
