LEA TITLE IX COORDINATOR TRAINING
Title IX LEA Coordinators may use any of the training materials available from this site for training in their local districts.
Training Events
Registration packets are now available online for the AGELE (Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education) annual conference from August 1-3, 2009, in Manhattan Beach, California. Special intensive pre-conference sessions are being offered – Title IX Coordinators' Workshop; Sorting X and Y: Title IX and Single Sex Education; Developing a Gender-Fair Multicultural Curriculum.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Theresa Montano, Assistant Professor of Chicana and Chicano Studies at Cal State University Northridge and past president of the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) and Dr. William Howe, Education Consultant for Multicultural Education, Gender Equity/Title IX, and Civil Rights at the Connecticut State Department of Education. Dr. Howe is also a past president of NAME.
