Oct. 2, 2013 Some Charter Schools have reported that they have not been able to see their teachers, sections, classes, and students in Schoolnet. Pearson believes they have corrected the issues associated with Charters not seeing teachers, sections, courses, and students in Schoolnet. The Home Base Support Center is in the process of validating the fix for all Charter Schools that have logged these types of issues. If you believe that the actions taken have not resolved your data issues, please log a ticket with the Home Base Support Center.
Due to the federal government shutdown, all government websites are also down, which does have some impact on Home Base. Some Home Base instructional resources will not be accessible until the shutdown ends. Resources will be up and running when the shutdown is over.
Oct. 1, 2013 NCDPI has been made aware of issues regarding the assessment administration component of Schoolnet. The issues reported to the Home Base Support Center include users being unable to create or to access previously created tests in Schoolnet. The following message appears: Our Apologies. Sorry -- an error occurred on the page you were viewing. 10/3/2013 Update: Pearson implemented the resolution during the 10/2/2013 maintenance window, and the Home Base Service Center has confirmed that the issues were resolved.
• 10/2/2013 Update: Pearson believes that they have identified the source of the problems and plans to implement resolution to the problem during the 10/2/2013 maintenance window. The maintenance window may extend beyond the typical 6-10 p.m. time frame.
• 10/1/2013: This issue has been escalated to Pearson tier 3 and has a very high priority for timely resolution.

Sep 30, 2013 Some Avery County users experienced trouble accessing NCEES. They are getting an Our Apologies ... error. 10/3/2013: The 10/2/2013 maintenance resolved this issue.
• 9/30/2013: NCDPI and Pearson are looking into the issue and will resolve as soon as possible.

Sep 17, 2013 Schools and LEAs are having trouble getting the Scanit software to work with Schoolnet. NCDPI and Pearson have worked with one LEA to successfully set up Scanit and then scan benchmark assessments for grades 3-12. NCDPI is working with Pearson to document directions to help LEAs and schools set up Scanit with Schoolnet. Completion date TBD.
Some LEAs have reported that some of their district staff are unable to build benchmark assessments in Schoolnet. School and LEA data managers should ensure that the affected district staff members have been granted the appropriate Schoolnet roles for creating and administering assessments. Along with assigning the district staff a default role (Leadership or Staff), data managers will need to add the additional roles of Test Item Administrator and Access to Assessment Management. A few Charter Schools have reported problems with user roles not being populated in Schoolnet. 10/3/2013: Pearson and NCDPI believe that the 10/2/2013 maintenance resolved the majority of the Charter data issues. If LEAs find that this is not the case, please log a ticket with the Home Base Support Center.
• 9/17/2013: NCDPI and Pearson are researching the issue and will notify these schools once the problem is resolved.

Sep 16, 2013 Schools and LEAs are having trouble getting the Scanit software to work with Schoolnet. DPI is working with Pearson to rectify the issue and will document directions to help LEAs and schools set up Scanit with Schoolnet. Completion Date TBD.
A few LEAs and schools have reported issues with seeing teachers, sections, courses and students in Schoolnet. Teachers and Students appear appropriately in PowerSchool but are not visible in Schoolnet. 10/2/2013 Update: Pearson believes they have corrected the issues associated with LEAs not seeing teachers, sections, courses, and students in Schoolnet. The Home Base Support Center is in the process of validating the fix for all LEAs and Schools that have logged these types of issues. These include the following LEAs and Schools: Johnston County, Hoke County, Jackson County, Roxboro Community School, Pamlico County, Smithfield Elementary, Rutherford County. If you believe that the actions taken have not resolved your data issues, please log a ticket with the Home Base Support Center. 9/16/2013: NCDPI is working with Pearson to identify and address the issue.
