The NCDPI Policy and Planning Analyst Kayla Siler provides an overview of the user roles and permissions in Schoolnet. In addition to a discussion regarding all the roles and permissions that can be assigned to Schoolnet users, time is spent discussing two new features involving how to configure the basic roles for School Library Media Coordinators, ITFs and Coaches. Time is devoted throughout the presentation to discuss best practice examples about how to ensure all user roles are assigned properly. Lastly, this session includes a discussion about how coordinators and data managers can monitor user roles and permissions, and how to resolve issues.

These experts discuss the admin tools available in OpenClass, the online collaboration app of Home Base. Participants learn how to create and copy master courses, share courses with teachers and make them available to educators statewide. A discussion regarding user management is also held. The final segment is a presentation on the PIF adapter tool that admins/data managers use to sync courses and rosters in Powerschool with OpenClass.
