FUQUAY-VARINA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WINS NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
Marcy T., a Fuquay Varina High student, is the Grand Prize National Winner in the National Geographic - Minolta 'Show Us Your World' student photo contest. Her photo was selected from over 5,000 entries. Marcy wins a $1,000 scholarship, a professional-quality camera, a tour of Washington, DC with a National Geographic photojournalist, and other prizes. In the award presentation National Geographic photojournalist Annie Griffiths Belt presented her photography, shared her techniques, and encouraged FVHS students to follow their dreams.
