PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED TO RECEIVE COMMENT ON PROPOSED CHANGE OF NC EXTENDED CONTENT STANDARD MATH 1 (GRADE 10)

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Exceptional Children Division will hold one public hearing to receive comments regarding proposed amendments to the current Math Extended Content Standards, grade 10 to align with the newly adopted NC Math 1. 

This Public hearing will be held at the following location and date:

Sept. 22, 5:00 – 7 p.m.
Auditorium, Joyner Greene Education Center
604 East Main St., Jamestown NC

Advanced registration to speak is not required. Staff will not discuss proposed changes, but will be present to receive comments only. The meeting site is accessible to individuals with disabilities.  If auxiliary aids or services are needed, please contact the NCDPI at 919.807.3925 at least two weeks prior to the scheduled meeting date.

The changes will be available for public review and comments beginning September 7, 2016 through October 7, 2016.  The documents may be reviewed at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Exceptional Children Division office (Education Building, 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh) and on the web at http://ec.ncpublicschools.gov

Interested citizens are invited to comment on the proposed changes.  In making comments, please indicate which section(s) on which you are commenting (e.g., NC.M1.N-RN 2); and provide comments in the form of statements.
