PRINCIPALS' MESSAGES 2008

MESSAGES 2008 :: JUNE 19, 2008

JUNE 19, 2008 - Principals' Biweekly Message

What difference do a few minutes make? Quite a bit when they're all added together! "Two Million Minutes" is a documentary film that takes an in-depth look at how students in the United States allocate their high school years (approximately four years or two million minutes) as compared with students in India and China. It examines the implications this may have on the U.S. position in the global economy during the 21st century, and spurred quite a bit of interesting discussion at the June State Board of Education Meeting. "Two Million Minutes" is currently screening across the country. The DVD provides a forum for you and your school community to think about your district's priorities and expectations for students.
