

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
MISSION :: The mission of the Office of Professional Development is to provide leadership, technical assistance, resources and consultative services to the North Carolina public and charter schools with the goal of improving student learning and achievement through organizational development and professional learning.
Please visit our website often to be kept abreast of up-coming professional development opportunities and information related to the new standards for all North Carolina professionals!
Training and Professional Development will be provided to all districts across the state on the new standards. The intended purpose of the evaluation instruments is to assess performance in relation to the standards and to serve as a development model for individual growth and development for the practitioner. Please contact the Office of Professional Development or our other partners for additional training and other professional development opportunities:

- All Regional Educational Service Alliances (RESAs)

- Any University and/or Institution of Higher Education in NC

Preparing Future Ready Students for the 21st Century
The guiding mission of the North Carolina State Board of Education is that every public school student will graduate from high school globally competitive for work and postsecondary education and prepared for life in the 21st century.
