GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS

THE STANDARDS

As of the 2008-2009 school year, all School Executives/Principals and Teachers in selected districts in the state of North Carolina shall be evaluated on the new evaluation instruments. The following districts are using the Teacher evaluation process this year: Alexander, Alleghany, Camden, Cherokee, Elkin City, Hertford, Iredell-Statesville, Jones, Newton-Conover, Orange, Rutherford, Scotland, Wilson.

Districts implementing the Teacher Evaluation Tool for the 2009-2010 school year are: Anson, Ashe, Asheville City, Avery, Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Caldwell, Currituck, Chatham, Clinton City, Craven, Dare, Duplin, Edenton, Edgecombe, Franklin, Gates, Halifax, Haywood, Hoke, Hyde, Macon, Martin, Montgomery, Moore, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Person, Surry, Richmond, Roanoke Rapids City, Stanly, Swain, Tyrrell, Vance, Watauga, Wayne, Winston-Salem/Forsyth. All remaining districts will implement in the 2010-2011 school year.
