RACE TO THE TOP CONTRACT ALERT – NCSU CUACS
In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding contracts utilizing Race to the Top (RttT) funding, the Purchasing & Contracts Section of the NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to North Carolina State University, The Center for Urban Affairs and Community Services (CUACS). The CUACS has performed work on behalf of the NCDPI for 30 years under an agreement entitled Technical Outreach for Public Schools (TOPS). Due to its ongoing work in managing assessment, instructional, and professional development content, the CUACS is well positioned to become the content manager of North Carolina’s Instructional Improvement System (IIS) being developed under the state’s RttT grant. Much of the content that the CUACS currently houses for NCDPI will be moved to the IIS once it is available. A "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Friday, March 30, 2012.
