PUBLIC NOTICES 2012-13 :: AUGUST 9, 2012

In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding procurements utilizing American Recovery & Re-Investment Act funding, the Purchasing & Contracts Section of the NC Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to MCNC for the purpose of providing enhancements to the eLearning NC Portal with continued Hosting and Support through August 31, 2014. The enhancements to the portal will allow a user to personalize the portal based on: a user’s past behaviors, and site usage with demographic characteristics which help refine and customize the content provided by the user. MCNC is uniquely qualified for this request, since they created the eLearning NC Portal for NC DPI via a contract which started in September 2008. MCNC also maintains the eLearning NC Portal and therefore is the only Vendor who can provide the needed services. A "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Tuesday, August 9, 2012. Questions resulting from this notice may be directed to Mike Beaver, Purchasing Agent III, Purchasing & Contracts Section, 919.807.3683; or ,
