PUBLIC NOTICES 2012-13 :: DECEMBER 17, 2012

ARRA CONTRACT ALERT – Apple, Inc.

In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding procurements utilizing American Recovery & Re-Investment Act funding, the Purchasing & Contracts Section of the NC Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to Apple Inc. for the purpose of purchasing Apple MacBook Pro laptops under State Term Contract 204N and classified as an Academic Purchase. This purchase request is for the District and School Transformation section. Coaches from this section will train and support teachers in their district's technology initiative as they share resources for Common Core and Essential Standards. Apple Inc. is uniquely qualified for this Apple Academic Purchase request. Apple Inc. does not allow resellers for any Apple Academic Purchase requests, per their company guidelines. A "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Monday, December 17, 2012.
