ARRA CONTRACT ALERT - RTTT PROJECT COORDINATOR
In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding procurements utilizing American Recovery & Re-Investment Act funding, the Purchasing & Contracts Section of the NC Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a personal services contract with Jennifer DeNeal, for the purpose of serving in the capacity of a Race-to-the-Top Project Coordinator for Educator Effectiveness. Jennifer DeNeal in this capacity will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Complete and document research and statistical analysis necessary to formulate Race-to-the-Top implementation plans and State Board of Education policies related to educator effectiveness.
- Write State Board of Education policies and other documents used to communicate policies and procedures related to educator effectiveness.
Jennifer DeNeal is uniquely qualified for these aforementioned services/tasks, as she performed research, analysis and provided documentation/reporting, for the State’s educator effectiveness model last year. This position of Race-to-the-Top Project Coordinator for Educator Effectiveness must be knowledgeable about the State’s educator effectiveness model and policies. Additionally, this person must have experience with the analysis of data from the first two years of implementation of the model. This experience and knowledge is crucial in order to complete the listed services by June 30, 2013. This vendor relationship with the Agency was established in June 2012. A "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Monday, March 11, 2013.
