PUBLIC NOTICES 2014-15 :: JULY 30 2014


In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery and Investment policy regarding contracts utilizing Race to the Top (RttT) funding, the Purchasing and Contracts Section of the NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to the Western Region Service Alliance, the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium, the Southeast Region Service Alliance, the Northwest Region Service Alliance, the Central Carolina Region Service Alliance, and Southwest Service Alliance (RESAs) to plan, host, and schedule regional meetings to provide additional training on the common core and essential standards and the NC Educator Evaluation System. Each RESA will schedule and facilitate regional meetings in which NCDPI staff will meet and plan for the updated scopes of work due to the US Department of Education (USED) each year. Each RESA will plan, schedule and facilitate regional trainings on the new essential standards and common core with Regional Professional Development Leaders. The RESAs will convene educator effectiveness teams to "vet" and receive feedback on the proposed student learning objectives and the utilization of student growth in teacher evaluation and host regional meetings for professional development on teacher evaluation and incorporating student growth into the evaluation system. Each RESA will convene regional RttT Feedback meetings or fidelity checks on implementation of major RttT initiatives with LEA RttT senior leadership teams. A "Notice of Intent" for each award will be posted ono the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
