ROBERT C. BYRD HONORS SCHOLARSHIP

Legislation was signed on April 14, 2011 by President Obama to continue funding the federal government for this federal fiscal year. Additionally, that legislation included language to terminate funding for several programs, including the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program. As a result, this scholarship will not be available to new and previous Byrd Scholars for the 2011-2012 academic year. Unfortunately the program is also scheduled to be totally eliminated in 2012.

Further information can also be found at the North Carolina College Foundation website at www.cfnc.org. Follow the appropriate links to view information on grants and scholarships and other assistance that might be available.
