How do I get my user account
unlocked and/or my password reset?
Anyone with the "container admin" role for the DPI Security application can do this for you. Each LEA potentially has someone with this role. If you know who it is, that is the preferred route. Otherwise the DPI Help Desk (919.807.4357), or Ken Gattis (919.807.4049) can take care of it.
My password
has been reset. What then?
You'll log in with the newly reset password, at which point you will be told you need to change your password ("Your password has expired and must be changed before continuing"). Click "ok." When the change password dialog asks for your old password, use the newly reset password again, specify a new password (in both the new password and confirm password boxes), and then click "save."
Any restrictions on passwords?
Passwords can contain letters, numbers and special characters, but they cannot contain control-key (holding down the Ctrl key) or alt-key (holding down the Alt key) characters. Passwords must be between 5 and 15 characters in length. If you provide a new password that has been used too recently, you will get an error message reading "The new password has been used recently; the last 8 passwords can not be used."
I've run the Reports > Violence Data > School Summary and in the spreadsheet the report shows in cell F6 that my school
has one student. What does that mean?
The spreadsheet defaults to one student. If you know your school's membership, just enter it into that cell and the rates based on membership will adjust accordingly.
