Career Clusters
The National Career Clusters™ Framework provides a vital structure for organizing and delivering quality CTE programs through learning and comprehensive programs of study (POS). In total, there are 16 Career Clusters in the National Career Clusters™ Framework, representing more than 79 Career Pathways to help students navigate their way to greater success in college and career.


Change the Equation
Change the Equation (CTEq) initiative mobilizes the business community to improve the quality of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning in the United States. CTEq continues to influence and lead the STEM learning movement for improving teaching and all students' STEM learning, both in the classroom and beyond.

The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce is an independent, nonprofit research and policy institute affiliated with the Georgetown Public Policy Institute that studies the link between education, career qualifications, and workforce demands.

Grand Challenges of Engineering
The National Academy of Engineering (NAE), at the request of the National Science Foundation, convened a committee of leading technical thinkers to create a list of the grand challenges and opportunities for engineering facing those born at the dawn of this new century.

Currently comprised of thirteen state STEM networks, North Carolina is proud to be an inaugural member.

Created in collaboration with the American Institutes for Research, Vital Signs offers the most comprehensive available picture of STEM in our state – the demand for and supply of STEM skills, what states expect of students, students' access to learning opportunities, and the resources schools and teachers have to do their work.
