NC Homeless Education Programs
The NC Homeless Education Program (NCHEP) is dedicated to ensuring that all children and youth experiencing homelessness have access to the public education to which they are entitled under the federal McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Children and Youth Assistance Act. NCHEP works towards this goal by providing technical assistance to North Carolina's local homeless education liaisons, and by providing informational and awareness materials and resources to educators and other interested community members throughout North Carolina.

NC Healthy Schools
Healthy schools, students and communities are conducive to supporting each student achieving his or her best by being physically, mentally and emotionally ready to learn. The NC Healthy Schools section at NCDPI supports the multiple facets of Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model and provides resources to help schools do the same.

NC Center for Safer Schools
The Center for Safer Schools at NCDPI provides technical assistance, training and resources to help facilitate safe environments for learning. Their support serves as a central resource of school safety information and customer services to schools, law enforcement, youth-serving agencies, juvenile justice officials, community leaders, policymakers, parents and students.
