From Promise to Practice: Two Schools' Programmatic Approach to Student Success is an action research document highlighting two schools that are closing the academic achievement gap between North Carolina's largest student populations while moving the achievement of all groups upward. The research had two purposes: (1) to identify schools in North Carolina who were raising student achievement and closing gaps; and (2) to determine whether the school's achievement gaps were closed through effective utilization of Lawrence Lezotte's Seven Correlates of Effective Schools.
