NCID Status - Please Read and Respond

Notice of NCID Administrator Status

Please take a look at the list of Local Education Agencies below. This list includes all school districts that have identified a local NCID Administrator. If your LEA is listed, thank you for your prompt response. You may disregard this reminder notice.

If your LEA is not listed, please read this entire email. It contains important information you need in order to identify a local NCID Administrator per Superintendent June Atkinson's request dated September 8, 2009 (attached). This is an essential step for your Charter/LEA staff to access critical DPI applications.

To designate an NCID K-12 Administrator:

The LEA/Charter School Director must designate staff member(s) to serve as the NCID K-12 Administrator(s). The LEA/Charter School director will be responsible for:

  1. Selecting a designee for NCID. Complete, sign and fax the designee form. (attached)
  2. Selecting a primary/alternate NCID K-12 Administrator(s). It is recommended that the administrator is a full time employee who will be available year round to approve new users for access to NCID.
  3. Completing, signing and faxing the NCID K-administrator Form (attached to Angela Coats, NC DPI, Technology Services, 919.807.3246 immediately.

The named administrator must have a current NCID account associated with the appropriate LEA. To register for an account, please register at https://ncid.nc.gov. To review instructions on how to register, please visit https://dpi.state.nc.us/ncid.

Upon approval of your account and receipt of your paperwork, you are required to attend a brief, instructional webinar. Please register at one of the remaining sessions:

Upon completion of training, NC DPI will grant your NCID K-12 Administrator(s) rights to approve accounts within your specific LEA/Charter School.

Effective Monday, October 5, NC DPI will immediately begin responding to all requests by directing your users to contact you.
